Construction of halls for the first clients began in the industrial area in Hrušov

The Czech developer of industrial real estate Contera has started the construction of a logistics complex on the site of a former brownfield in Hrušov. Contera Park Ostrava D1, which is the official name of the project, will have the most modern technologies and exceptional parameters.

First hall will belong to the largest domestic retailer of sporting goods, Sportisimo, which will then move its logistics headquarters from Prague to Hrušov. The parameters of the hall will be unique in the Czech Republic, the vanity height will reach up to 23 meters, automated and cooling systems are also included, and with an area of ​​90,000 sq m it will be one of the largest halls in our country. Up to 700 employees should find work here. Sportisimo should move into the first part of the building in January 2022, the entire hall will be available approximately half a year later.

Another renter who will occupy a second hall with a size of 40,000 sq m is already known. A part of this hall will be occupied by Plzeňský Prazdroj. The construction of a third industrial hall and technology center is also being planned for the future.

Developer company Contera was founded in 2009 and operates industrial parks in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It focuses on the revitalization of brownfields and already manages one industrial zone in Ostrava’s city part Kunčičky. The total area of ​​leased space currently exceeds 350,000 sq m, another 245,000 sq m is planned to be built in the near future.
