ICT

ICT (information and communication technologies) is one of the Moravian-Silesian Region’s fastest-growing industries, and it has gained added importance since Finnish investor Tieto opened its Ostrava branch in 2004.

The ICT industry employs over 16 000 people in the Region. Its natural centre here is Ostrava, which – alongside Prague and Brno – has developed into a major ICT hub. With high-quality universities and secondary schools, an expert workforce, reasonable labour costs and low office rental prices, the Moravian-Silesian Region is an ideal location for the continued growth of ICT.
