Moravian-Silesian Region awarded the best possible rating

15. 10. 2019

The latest report from rating agency Moody’s has given the Moravian-Silesian Region the highest possible rating that it can achieve under the current regional government financing system in the Czech Republic.

The rating is an independent evaluation of a subject’s ability and willingness to meet its future commitments; it is particularly important when assessing the client’s creditworthiness. The Moravian-Silesian Region’s credit profile (A1 stable) reflects its low levels of debt, excellent operating results, solid liquidity and the medium-level probability that the Czech government (Aa3, stable) will provide exceptional assistance if necessary in the case of an acute lack of liquidity.

Moody’s Investors Service has issued ratings for the Moravian-Silesian Region since 2005. During this period, the Region’s rating has increased gradually from the initial A3 to the current A1.
