29. 4. 2021

The new atlas of the Moravian-Silesian Region depicts the positive and negative sides of the region, its characteristics and regional specifics. Thanks to more than a hundred maps, it is possible to clearly monitor the state and development of the area and use this information for planning and moving the region in a positive direction.

Ivo Vondrák, Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, comments on the project as follows:

"To think about the future development and direction of the Moravian-Silesian Region, it is essential to know the region well, understand the trends in development and put things in context.”

The atlas is divided into six parts according to the priorities of the regional strategy #hrajeMSKrajem. It will provide readers with a basic overview of business activity, quality of life in the region, air quality or number of technical monuments in the region. Thanks to this atlas, it is possible to compare employment rate, or transport, medical and social services across the region.

The part which focuses on presenting the region as an enterprising and innovative place also offers a series of thematic cartograms which map the business sector in the Moravian-Silesian region, its development potential, important companies and also the management of municipalities. The entire atlas can be downloaded from the website of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
