Open call for SMEs to support modernization of buildings

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has opened a new call as part of its Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness (OPEIC). The new call – “Real Estate – Coal Regions” is designed to help SMEs by providing subsidies enabling them to modernize buildings.

The purpose of this new programme is to help SMEs upgrade buildings that are no longer in an adequate technical condition so that they can be used for economic activities. Alternatively, the funding can be used to pay for new buildings within the target territory defined in Chapter 8 of the call. This will help to maintain or increase employment rates in the target regions, thus also contributing to environmental improvements and/or improvements in employees’ working conditions. The call has been allocated 1.4 billion CZK, and applications can be submitted from 16 October 2019 to 16 March 2020.
