We presented the POHO2030 project in Brussels

Representatives of the Moravian-Silesian Region and MSID took part in the 6th meeting of the working group of the EU’s Platform for Coal Regions in Transition (the Coal Platform). The workshop included a presentation of the POHO2030 project (Post-Mining Landscape of the Karviná Region) and the closely related LIFE project, which aims to steer the future transformation of this former coal mining region in accordance with the principles of climate change adaptation. The task of the Coal Platform is to guide transition processes in coal mining regions as well as providing a forum enabling participants to seek out examples of good practice across Europe and to set up cooperation with suitable experts. Meetings of the Coal Platform have featured not only representatives of the affected regions, but also guests from the World Bank or the DG REGIO.
